Christmas Decorating 2010

Christmas at our house was so fun this year! It is great to have a little munchkin running around the house to share the holiday spirit with! There is something about children that make Christmas even more magical than it already is.

We were lucky enough to have Joanna, Megan, Lexi, and Natalie come and help us with our decorating.

Putting up our Christmas Lights this year was most definitely a Griswold experience! We were so excited for Priya to see the turning-on of the lights. She loved the Christmas lights so much, and would always point and say, "wow!" When it came time to turn them on, we would get Priya outside, and have a lighting ceremony of sorts, complete with me video taping her reaction. Each time we would plug in the lights, a fuse would blow and nothing would happen. It took us about 10 tries before we finally figured out what was making the fuse blow. Yes, by that time, Priya's poor legs were freezing!

With our luck, it's no surprise that I accidentally erased the video of our lighting success, but we have plenty of videos of our attempts!

Priya loved all the new "toys" to play with! We consider ourselves lucky this year.
The only casualties... I bet you can guess!

1 year old+glass oranements= one really bad idea

Some of Priya's favorite decorations this year were:

Her Christmas bear from Grandpa and Grandma Little

Our ice skating nutcracker

Anything with pinecones, which she affectionately called "balls"

And our Christmas books, which she read (and tried to color in) constantly
