8 Months

I just can't believe that my sweet Miss Priya is already 8 months old. It seems like just yesterday she was brand new, and yet, I can't really remember what life was like without her. It must have been lonely then! She has made both mine and Andrew's life so much richer! We are excited to continue to watch her grow and learn. I never realized that being a mommy would be such a wonderful thing. I always hear people say how hard it is, but people forget to mention how absolutely wonderful and amazing it is. I wouldn't trade it for any other job in the world!

That being said...these pictures are getting very hard to take!

Check it out!

Katie and I have started a new blog with some of our friends... it is a craft/recipe/parenting/you name it blog. Check it out, let me know what you think! If you would like to contribute, let me know and I will add you! All I need is your e-mail address, and the name that you would like to go by!

Working in the yard

We have been so excited to get out into our yard and start working on it. It doesn't look that great right now, and I guess the last people didn't take very good care of it. The grass is almost completely dead, and there are vines growing everywhere. There are a bunch of trees in strange spots, too. Last night, my dad came over to give us some firewood (now that we have a fireplace! Yeah!), and he and Andrew had an impromptu tree-cutting-down party. We cut down three trees that were right up against the house. It is amazing how just doing that opens the yard up so much! One of the trees fell on Andrew, so we were lucky it wasn't a very big tree!

Look at what we found in one of our porch lights!

Priya's Army Crawl

Priya has started crawling, but she hasn't quite figured out how to coordinate her hands and knees yet, so it is more of an army crawl. Mommy and Daddy are so proud and think it is scrumptiously adorable!

Hats

Priya loves her hats, and one of her favorite games is to have us put them on
so she can take them off.

Blarney!

Priya just wanted to wish all of you a belated Happy St. Patrick's Day and all the luck o' the Irish!

We also wanted to show you our awesome card we found...

This is the outside

And this is the inside

For those of you who are wondering if there is a large market for St. Patrick's Day/Birthday cards, I am probably now going to spend the next ten years trying to find someone I can give this card to!

Hooray! The Yard Work Can Begin!

Hasn't this weather been great? We have had the worst spring fever, and it has been so nice to get out in our yard the past week. It needs a lot of work, but Andrew and I both love working in the yard, and we are up for the challenge. It is so fun to know that it is our yard, and we can do whatever we would like with it!

Paul's Play

Paul has spent the last few months rehearsing for "The 12 Dancing Princesses," a school play he tried out for. He was a palace guard, complete with about 20 lines. He did a fantastic job!

Here's to 5 Wonderful Years!

Andrew and I celebrated our 5th Anniversary this month! I can't believe it has already been five years. I guess time flies when you are having fun!

I couldn't ask for anything more in a husband, lover, daddy for my children, friend, or boyfriend (yes, he is still my boyfriend). I often wonder how I got lucky enough to marry him!

Cheers to five years, and forever more to come!

Flowers from my baby

How sweet is my sis? She made us an Anniversary Basket. She even got a few things for Priya!

Just Keep Swimming...

"Just keep swimming, just keep swimming, what do we do, we swim, swim, swim!"

Priya's first time swimming, and it was a hit! We may need to start calling her Nemo.

Best of the West Tournament

Last weekend, Andrew, Priya and I went down to Las Vegas to the Best of the West Tournament with our Olympus High Girls Lacrosse team. It was so fun to get away for the weekend, get in some warmer weather, and get to know our girls better! We are loving coaching our girls, and we are officially lacrosse junkies!

Oh, my gosh... I need to get me one of these floor to ceiling mirrors!
It kept Priya entertained for hours!

She LOVED all of the lights!

Look out Ringo...

Congrats Dad!

On March 2, my dad received the Silver Beaver Award during a special ceremony from the Boy Scouts of America. The award is given to scouters with impressive records of outstanding service in scouting, church, and community. Nominations are made by a special committee after careful study and review of the records of hundreds of worthy candidates folloed by approval of key council officers. In addition, all awards must be approved by the national Distinguished Service Committee of the Boy Scouts of America.

In short, it is hard to get, and a big deal. There is absolutely nobody more deserving than my dad.

7 Months Already?

Oh my gosh! Where has time gone?

I can't see!

One thing Priya is very good at is adapting. Her hat that she wears when it is cold outside is a little too big for her head, so sometimes it covers her eyes. She has learned that if she pulls that hat out and holds it, it won't cover her eyes and she can see, so she now does this anytime we put her hat on her. I don't think she has realized that she is stretching it out and making it worse!

JV sleepover at our house!

Last Friday, we had our Olympus Lacrosse JV girls sleepover at our house. It was so fun to get to know everyone better. 20+ teenage girls can be so entertaining!

We even had a visit from some of our Varsity girls...

Who I can safely say just about made Katie and I pee our pants!
