Interview with Priya

Here is an interview with Priya taken out of this month's issue of Rolling Binkie Magazine... enjoy!

RB: Priya, we've heard you started eating solids, tell us a little bit about that.

Priya: I love to eat anything, carrots, squash, broccoli, peas, the works, but I have to say that crackers and pretzels are my favorite so far. I am always trying to get Mommy and Daddy to share their candy and sweets with me, but I haven't had any luck yet. I am constipated a lot, and Mommy and Daddy have been giving me prunes and pears (whit the doctor said to remember that anything that starts with the letter "P," for "poop" helps). They do help, and I love them!

RB: What do you like to do in your spare time?

Priya: I love to roll, and roll, and roll. I love playing with my toys, smiling, looking at lights, reading books, dancing, taking baths, going for walks, and playing with door hinges. When I have time, I love to sit and watch the ceiling fan go around, or the weatherman on the news. I also love anything that resembles a cord. The vacuum cord and shoelaces are my favorite. Mommy and Daddy have to watch me very carefully because they don't like me playing with cords.

RB: Is there anything you are afraid of?

Priya: It really depends on the day and my mood. Sometimes it is bearded men, loud noises (like when Daddy runs into the room yelling my name), or people with too much of a tan. The other day, it was Piglet. He's pretty scary.

RB: Do you have a best friend or anyone you like to hang out with?

Priya: I love playing with Daddy, he always makes me laugh. I also love spending time with my uncles and aunt, and my Namama. My cousin Natalie and I have a special bond. I have to say that out of all my friends, my stuffed rabbit, Thumper, has to be my favorite.

RB: What kinds of things do you not enjoy?

Priya: I hate getting dressed, and I hate getting in my car seat. I also hate waiting for my bottle. When I am ready for it, I want it now. I hate facing towards people when they are holding me, because I'd much rather face out so I can see. I don't like having colds or the croup (which I have right now), and I hate nap time. I am so afraid I am going to miss out on anything exciting.

RB: What kind of music is on your IPOD right now?

Priya: Mommy and Daddy say I am too young for an IPOD, but I love to listen to Jack Johnson and Harry Neilson. I especially love Harry's "Coconut" song. I also love the kid songs "If I Were," and "Baby Beluga." I love the song "Manamana" by the muppets, and I often dance along with it.
