Our life has been pretty boring this week and I haven't blogged for a while, so I thought I would share this FHE game I made with you. Its fun to play with older kids. I played it with my Young Women and we had a great time.
I cut out all of the pieces and laminated them so they would last longer.
Materials needed: Category and alphabet pieces, cut out. Dice and timer. Paper and pen to keep points.
How to play:
1. Make two piles on a table, one pile of categories and one pile of the alphabet letters.
2. Seperate into two or more teams. Each team takes a turn rolling the dice. The number they roll is the amount of points their turn will be worth.
3. The team who's turn it is chooses one category piece and one alphabet piece.
4. The team has a prearranged amount of time (we did 30 seconds, but that may have been too easy) to come up with an answer.
5. If the team comes up with a correct answer, they get the amount of points they rolled on the dice. If they cannot come up with a legitimate answer, once the time runs out, the other team gets a chance to "steal" the points by coming up with an answer.
6. The first team to get a designated number of points (we did 25) wins. If you run out of categories or letters, you can just mix them up and it will be like a new game.
